炭焙金萱 Oolong Tea - Heavy Oxidation - Medium Roast Creamy, Sweet, and Light This single origin Taiwanese Jin Xuan is harvested, oxidized, rolled, and medium roasted in small batches by hand. To better preserve the smoothness and fragrance of the tea leaves, it is roasted with longan wood (龍眼木炭) by artisan tea makers in Nantou (南投) Taiwan. Jin Xuan was first developed in 1980 in Taiwan. The plant is durable and its leaves are strong, allowing it to withstand different degrees of oxidization. This batch is more heavily oxidized. The brewed tea is golden in color with a creamy, sweet taste. Hence Jin Xuan is sometimes also called "Gold Oolong".
