Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday. On May 5, 1852, an important battle took place between the Mexican and the French army. The French were storming through Mexico with the hopes of taking Mexico City. To their surprise, the Mexican army stopped them in their tracks in the small town of Puebla.
