take notice, image c.1798 - 18"x18" ink'd canvas wall art
Printed on our exclusive Ink'd Canvas Wall Tarp, this widely circulated "TAKE NOTICE" poster is often mistakenly represented as a recruitment effort for the American Revolutionary War. This poster was printed in 1798 and was designed to recruit soldiers for an altercation with France which, thankfully, never escalated to a war. George Washington served as a Commanding General in the U.S. Army during this "Quasi-War" with France from 1798 until his death in 1799. In honor of my Dad, a historian, who had a rendition of this image hanging on the wall during my childhood. A perfect gift for the history buff in your life! Free Pocket Constitution included with purchase! 18" W x 18" H. Due to the handmade nature of these wall tarps, finished dimensions may vary slightly. Made in the USA using natural, unbleached 100% Cotton Heavy Duck Canvas. Designs are individually printed on each panel. Grommets at the top for ease of hanging.
