Once you grab a foot, simply let the hedgehog try to crawl away while holding their foot steady. Hold on gently but firmly - even if they tug their leg, they are unlikely to hurt themselves in the process while you get some snips in.  *yes, Hedgehog Precision sales are helping me pay my medical bills after losing two fingers on my dominant hand in 2022!
