Andrew Boos "Purple Rug" - 4'10 x 8'3
Handmade wool flatwoven rug with an array of gorgeous purple shapes atop a grey ground. Most prominent is a purple oblong oval that looks slightly rectangular in the center of the piece. Bright white vertical stripes connect the oval to two wider horizontal purple stripes near the bottom. On the right you see one dark grey vertical stripe make an appearance next to a thin white stripe. The stunning purple is naturally dyed from cochineal while the greys are dyed from logwood, tannin and iron. Handmade and naturally dyed in 2020 in Brooklyn, NY.
