Ziegler Sultanabad Sampler - 3'11 x 5'1

This Sultanabad wagireh was handwoven during the late 19th century. This piece was intended as a wagireh or sampler rug is a templates which illustrates the important components of a rug pattern for the weaver. This sampler features the classic patterning and tonality that are hallmarks of the famous workshops of Ziegler and Co.
