Floral Abstraction Tibetan Khaden - 2'10 x 4'11
This Khaden was handwoven in Tibet during the early 20th century. It features an open field of various whimsical cloud-bands and other abstract shapes and floral motifs. A wonderful palette of maroon, pink, orange, indigo, and sky blue floats above the camel ground. The format and design suggest use as a "Khaden" or sleeping rug usually associated with Tibetan weaving. This rug is in very good condition with some areas of light wear (as pictured). The pile is medium height with a soft floppy handle.
