Stately Antique Gold Heriz Rug - 8’6 x 11’

This Heriz rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century. This classic Heriz features an all-over design of geometric flowers and energetic serrated leaves. Rendered in vibrant jewel tones with reds, coral, ivory, brown and four different blues on a rare and elegant gold ground. The meaty and full pile give the masterfully dyed wool more saturation and the rug a stronger presence. It is framed by a main border of large alternating palmettes. A real stunner!   Very good condition with very little wear and a full pile.
