Mid Century Kashan Rug - 9’6 x 13’2
This Keshan was handwoven during the middle of the 20th century. It features a classical pattern with a central diamond medallion surrounded by various floral sprays and palmettes atop a red ground. Four cornices mirror the medallion and comfortably reach out along the edge of the field. The whole is framed by a reconciled border of palmettes and interlocking vines on purple ground. In good condition; wear throughout with specks of the cotton foundation showing through in some places, slight wave to edging on one side. Dense, thick and hard-wearing rug.
