Midcentury Silk Kayseri Rug - 6'4 x 9'9

This Kayseri rug was handwoven in Turkey during the third quarter of the 20th century. Woven of silk on a cotton foundation to sumptuous effect, this rug features a central medallion on an open field with four cornices. The ornate patterning is softened by the limited palette of yellow, cream and khaki with brown detailing. Soft tones and limited contrast make this a very easy rug to decorate around.
