Antique Serab Runner - 3’ x 12’10

This Serab runner was woven during the early 20th century. It features large-scale botehs growing on vines and surrounded by tiny rosettes on a chocolate ground. Framed by a main border of pulsating green "S" scrolls on a feisty lacquer red ground. The main border is flanked by matching minor borders of alternating polychrome rosettes.   In very good condition, with minimal wear for its considerable age.  Low even pile and a floppy handle.   Size: 3’ x 12’10" [91cm x 391cm] Age: Q1 20th Century (1900-1925) Type of Rug: Serab Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation Pile Height: Low Condition: Very good    BK2468
