This is a pyrography rendering of the Siberian Ice Maiden's Tattoo. The Siberian Ice Maiden, also known as the Princess of Ukok, is a mummy of a woman from the 5th century BC, found in 1993 in a Kurgan belonging to one of the Pazyryk burials. It was among the most significant Russian archeological findings of the late 20th century. This crosscut of birch wood has a reproduction of one of the mummy's tattoos burned onto the surface. The woodcut measures Approx 6.5" in diameter (16.5 cm). This can be hung on a wall or laid flat on any surface.
