The Orchid Garden

The Orchid Garden is a deeply personal and joy-filled celebration of beauty, memory, and spirit. This original oil painting bursts with vibrant orchid blooms in radiant pinks, corals, and golds, set against a turquoise sky where hummingbirds flutter like messengers of peace and vitality. This piece is inspired by one of my most cherished childhood memories—visiting the orchid garden my father lovingly cultivated at home. My late father was a Chinese traditional painter and calligrapher, and a second-generation Feng Shui master. Orchids were his favorite flower, and he grew a stunning variety with reverence and care. I remember watching him perform graceful tea ceremonies among the blossoms, a moment suspended in time that felt like stepping into a dream. That sacred fusion of art, nature, and soul continues to live in my heart—and in this painting.
