Pieces Of the Masters - Mucha

Alfons Maria Mucha (1860-1939)   Alphonse Mucha was a Czech painter and decorative artist. He is the most popular artist of the Art Nouveau movement. Mucha’s works are well-known for their dignified and elegant female characters with beautiful and charming body lines. He created a lot of paintings, posters, advertisements and illustrations for books. He also engaged in designs of jewelry, theater decorations. He returned to his motherland in later period and focused on promoting Czech culture. He spent over ten years creating the huge oil painting work “The Slav Epic” and dedicated it to Prague. Mucha's numerous classic works such as “Gismonda”,“The Seasons”and“Zodiac”are still loved by people all over the world. The main design line of the “Pieces of the Masters” is the spirit of the famous paintings and the background history of each artwork.   “The Seasons” is selected from the famous series of decorative panels of Mucha. He is good at using curvaceous women and curly flowers
