Boro Futon - Meiji Era

Museum quality boro futonji purchased directly from a private collector. Difficult to date, but estimated to be from nineteenth - early twentieth century. Fine examples of hand spun, hand dyed cotton scraps eccentrically mended with sashiko stitching. A an example not often seen in the market.
