Some of the most sought after teas in the world are the frosted black teas from the Nilgiri Mountains in South India and we definitely have an excellent batch that we are proud of. The winters are extremely cold in the high mountains of Nigiri and the leaves on the tea plants face freezing temperatures. After the frosted leaves are hand plucked, the tea leaves undergo withering, bruising, oxidation and are carefully hand rolled into beautiful wiry spirals before drying. Our Nilgiri Frosted Noir Tea is very aromatic and flavorful and makes an enthralling cup with beautiful notes of wintergreens, hay, jasmine and citrus.
