Naturally grown and hand harvested by Heray farmers Co-op in Herat, Afghanistan, this artesian saffron is called the “Queen of Spices” because of its health benefits, price, and aromatic qualities. In Afghanistan, it is called, “Red Gold.” Its elegant flavor makes a perfect addition for both savory and sweetened plates. Saffron is a powerful antioxidant, with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
