El Diviso is an innovative project lead by Nestor Lasso, who along with his brother, turned their family coffee farm into one of the most progressive projects in Huila. This lot was developed alongside CATA Export.  Nestor and CATA developed this natural process together that integrates native yeast cultures and a controlled thermal shock. Papayo is a unique cultivar, rarely seen outside Huila. Possibly sharing genetics with Ethiopian landraces or Pink Bourbon mutations, it has yet to be fully catalogued and as such its exact origination is unknown.  It’s named for the shape of the cherrie this variety produces — oblong and papaya-esque.
