This PML cover is heavy duty, sand cast aluminum. Fins on the lower part where the fluid collects aid in heat dissipation. Because of many clearance issues with steering, u-bolts, and suspension, PML designed a cover as close to the shape and size of the stock cover as possible. Configurations vary so always check your truck to make sure you have clearance for any larger aftermarket cover. Trucks with the factory air ride suspension may have less clearance.
