Our current decaf origin is Mexico. Deliciously roasty and smooth, Higher Grounds' Decaf shines as espresso. We start with high-quality, certified organic beans sourced from one of our trusted cooperatives in either Peru or Honduras or Mexico, depending on seasonal availability. These coffees are selected for their unique flavor profiles, ensuring they stand out as fabulous decaffeinated offerings. At the Descamex Mountain Water Decaffeination Plant in Veracruz, Mexico, caffeine is gently removed using pure water, steam, and carbon filtration - never chemicals. The result is a clean, chemical-free process that preserves the natural sweetness and character of the coffee.
