This blanket pays homage to the craft of overshot weaving, brought to America by Scottish Weavers, many who settled in the tiny town of Seven Springs, North Carolina. The squared pattern pays tribute to the intricate patterns of traditional coverlets, hand-loomed on a white warp in the four-harness overshot method. Weavers grew their own flax and cotton, and raised sheep for wool which was hand-carded and colored with natural dyes. Today, their Appalachian artistry is preserved in museums. 64" x 80" (twin size) Napped; fabric is combed for a softer, thicker feel Whipstitch bindingĀ 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton Fabric woven in our American mills Made in USA
