Class: Magic Loop Socks
This is a three week class. The sessions meet at the same time of day for the 2 weeks following the original class date Level: Low Intermediate Skills Required: Longtail Cast-on, increases and decreases, and picking up stitches. Students should already know how to knit magic loop. (This class is to learn sock specific skills, not the basics of magic loop knitting.) Instructor: Jill Lerman Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit socks but felt intimidated? This 3 day course will teach you all the techniques to complete your goal. Using worsted weight yarn is the key to see your stitches clearly while learning all the steps to knit a sock. This will give you confidence and set a foundation for knitting socks with fingering weight yarn in the future. The provided pattern outlines how to knit a traditional sock which starts from the cuff down and includes: a slip stitch heel flap, short row heel & gusset, and finishing toes with kitchener stitch.
