New generation transmission swap starter adapter

The problem is when installing a new generation BMW 6 cylinder transmission (from the Nxx engines) onto an older M/S5x engine there is no place to attach the starter motor. This adapter solves that issue by providing a mounting location for a factory BMW starter. The adapter will work for all M50, M52, M54, S50, S52 and S54 engines when mounting to 6HP19, 6HP21, 8HP45, S6-53 and GS7D36SG transmissions (that originally came behind a 6cyl BMW).Adapters are billet aluminum and include original BMW hardware necessary to connect to the transmission. Adapting to a late model transmission is a straightforward process: Acquire a flexplate or flywheel/clutch kit (depending on transmission application) that is compatible with an 8-bolt crankshaft flange N54 BMW engine (<01/2009 production).
