Saturday, April 6th. 2024: Sewing Machine Basics & Quilt Design sew your first quilt block 1:00 - 4:00 PM Saturday, April 13th. 2024: Piecing & Blocking a Quilt on the machine 1:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday, April 20th. 2024: Batting, Basting & Hand Quilting off the machine 1:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday, April 27th. 2024: Binding & Finishing Techniques on & off the machine 1:00 - 5:00 PM Join local artist, long time quilter and craft educator Olivia Mae Clanton (@olliesmae) on this journey in creating a handmade Quilt. Throughout the month of April, meeting each Saturday, Olivia will teach students how to successfully design, piece, block, sew, baste, quilt and bind a modern quilt from start to finish. Students will learn all the traditional techniques of quilting and strengthen their technical sewing skills as well as hone their eye for design and color theory.
