Leaf Angle of Twist gauge

This angle of twist gauge will help you maintain a consistent twist throughout your singles and plying. Just place your single (plied back on itself) or plied yarn on top of the gauge and line it up with the angle that best matches the twist in your fiber. Angles are mirrored so you can easily determine if you are dealing with "S" or "Z" twist. For a single plied back on itself, the direction of twist determined by the gauge is opposite of the direction of the twist in the actual single by itself (A S spun single will ply back on itself in the Z direction, for example).
