With the surface texture worn - to the touch, its smooth and matte.  The color variations are sublime - rich in oak and chestnut, enlivened by blush and butter colors.  We are pairing this clay floor with our 18th Century French Oak Flooring in color way:  Warm Chestnut.  The soft and warm chestnut browns of the oak
