Rome, Constantine Family Tree Collection (9 Coins) - 305 to 363 CE - Roman Empire
This collection includes nine coins from the generations surrounding Constantine the Great, mounted in a "family tree" display case that shows their relation to one another. All coins included will be bronze issues, made between 305 and 363 CE. The collection also includes an informational card that gives the background of each emperor. The Constantinian dynasty ruled the Roman Empire from 306 to 363 CE. It began with Constantius Chlorus, but its most famous member was his son, Constantine I, who became the sole ruler of the empire in 324 CE after defeating his rivals. Constantine I was known for implementing significant reforms, including establishing a new capital at Constantinople (modern day Istanbul) Introducing a stable gold coin that became standard currency, restructuring the government to separate civil and military authority, and promoting Christianity and ending the persecution of Christian people. Each set of coins comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
