Three of the most famous Allied bikes of World War II are profiled with large hand-drawn illustrations of the Harley-Davidson 42WLA, BSA M20, and the Indian Scout 741. The most produced US motorcycle of World War II was the Harley-Davidson WLA also referred to as the “Liberator.” BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company) was the largest motorcycle manufacturer building about 25% of all British military motorcycles and the M20 was its most produced bike. Designed for dispatch, reconnaissance, and escort duties, the M20 was deployed in every theater of the war.
