I know the title implies that we're only dealing with the essential amino acids here, but I, in fact, included all 20 of them! For those unfamiliar, essential amino acids are the ones that our body does not have the machinery to make. These include histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
