Broken frames at the steering box mounting location are very common on 1973-1991 GM straight axle 4WD trucks, this kit is used to both fix a broken frame and/or to reinforce it to keep it from breaking again. One plate for the outside of the frame, one for the bottom. 1/8" steel plate. Why use the Hogback fab 73-87 (91) GM weld on frame repair kit?
