Scythe Whetstone Holder

This lightweight and durable plastic stone holder lets you carry your scythe stone in the field so that you can quickly hone the cutting edge where ever you are, rather than returning to your station or shop. Most mowers like to lightly hone their scythe blade every 5-10 minutes of mowing for maximum efficiency. The watertight plastic reservoir is meant to hold a bit of water added so that the stone can be kept wet in use, and the clip allows you clip it to your belt or pocket.  We've carried various versions of these for years and they are an important tool in your scything kit.
