Milkback Isopods (Porcellio laevis)

Laevis Milkback Isopods for sale! Origins: Europe. They have proved to be a good Clean-Up Crew though easily scared. This is one of our largest species! Habitat: Prefer a room-temp and partially humid environment with lots of cross-draft ventilation. Recommended substrate depth 2-3+". They enjoy Lotus Pod hideouts. Recommended use: Monitor enclosures, feeders (for larger animals).Food: As with most isopod species their main source of diet should be lots of leaf litter, decaying wood, and calcium supply. Supplement with some protein (2x per week). We noticed they do not prefer the calcium carbonate (limestone) powder like other isopods but enjoy the powderized eggshells and cuttlebone offerings (and lots of it)!  Reproduction: Reproduce quickly once established   Restrictions: Due to state permitting requirements, we are not allowed to ship these isopods to Louisiana.
