Magic Potion (US) Isopods (Armadillidium vulgare)

Magic Potion Isopods for sale! Origins: These popular isopods look like a witch cast a spell on them. Native to the Mediterranean region, they are commonly known as Magic Potions. These pale pods feature yellow spell blotches down their backs and if you are lucky can add black or brown dalmatian spotting. This starter culture comes from our American colony. Alternatively, we have their cousins here that were produced from a breeder in Japan. They tend to be slightly smaller with yellow spots rather than large, blotched streaks. Fairly passive species that proved to be a good Clean-Up Crew. Habitat: Prefers room-temp, medium humidity with lots of ventilation. Ensure they have their hydration station setup in a corner (moist sphagnum moss). Recommended substrate depth 2-3"+.Food: As with most isopod species their main source of diet should be lots of leaf litter, decaying wood, and calcium supply.
