Scolymias thrive under moderate lighting (LED, T5, or hybrid setups) and low to moderate, indirect flow that avoids direct blasts, which can cause tissue recession. Ideal aquarium parameters include a temperature range of 76–80°F (24–27°C), salinity at 1.025 specific gravity, pH between 8.1–8.4, alkalinity of 8–12 dKH, calcium at 400–450 ppm, and magnesium levels around 1250–1350 ppm.
