This rug is part of a curated selection of Moroccan rugs offered in collaboration with Kantara Moroccan Rugs. Woven in the plains east of Casablanca, Boujad rugs are known for their bold use of color, abstract patterning, and expressive, shape-driven design. No two are alike, yet all share a dynamic visual language that reflects the creativity and intuition of the women who weave them. Zigzags, diamonds, and geometric forms are common motifs. The diamond shape is often woven as a symbol of protection, traditionally believed to help ward off the evil eye. Well suited for bedrooms, playrooms, or other spaces that need a bit of warmth and a pop of color. Vintage handwoven, one-of-a-kind rug.Estimated to be 25-35 years old.
