"VICTORIA" Earrings

“Victoria” Earrings are created as a healing portal for survivors of sexual assault. I pray  that you know your light can never be taken. It is still here as strong as the day you were created. This is a prayer for the downfall of the fog that covers you. Underneath it all, you have already risen. You are already the phoenix. I pray you open up like the constellations. A radical liberation to the core. It may seem impossible, I pray for your hope.  May you know you are always surrounded by angels. Proceeds from “Victoria” and my forthcoming collection are going to help survivors of rape and war in the Congo. It is a continuation of a benefit I began in 2009, inspired and educated on the war by Lynn Nottage's play “Ruined” while I was a Theatre student at Howard. On the days I felt I couldn't get out of bed, I thought of The Congo. “Victoria” is named after my late godmother who, along with my mother , made sure neither my sister or I suffered what they did growing up, keeping us safe a
