Blue Butterfly Pea Flowers, Whole, 1/4 LB.

The gorgeous, edible blue butterfly pea flower grows on a vine native to Thailand, and the dried blooms make one of the most beautiful drinks you'll ever steep. Pour hot water over the petals and the cup turns a deep, twilight blue. Add a single drop of lemon juice and watch it shift to bright pink, like a little bit of kitchen magic. It's a calming, gently floral cup, and it's our favorite kid-friendly drink at the farm. The little ones love the color change, and we love that it gives us a beautiful pitcher of tea for the table. Beyond tea, the petals work as a natural food dye for icings, rice, lemonade, and anything else that could use a soft blue wash. Packed on our farm in the Missouri Ozarks.
