Juniperus procumbens Nana - Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper is a trailing, low growing, very prostrate, evergreen shrub. Blue-green foliage - ¼" needle like leaves densely cover branches that spread 4'-5' wide. Foliage may take on a purplish tinge in the Winter. Makes a good groundcover for full sun slopes. It needs well drained soil with average to medium moisture while getting established. Drought tolerant once established. Birds are attracted to the bluish berry-like cone in the Fall.
