I wanted to have a traditional feel to this home, but not too stale. I tried to use traditional interior elements in new ways. For example the dining room has a pass through like many older bungalows but is much more open in nature with glass doors on both sides of the upper cabinets. This helps to make a non-corner room more open and airy. In fact, you’re able to see from the back of the house all the way to the front but still have a traditional layout. Or you could close the sliding doors to increase privacy. The optional breakfast nook is my favorite element. Many folks have told me that they never knew they would use a nook so much.
