Seizing Her Prey
The painting that launched this collection was inspired by a striking image captured by Ian Ford—2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year—the photo stopped me in my tracks. In that moment, something shifted. My own hunt became clear & focus sharpened. This is not a jaguar, nor a photograph of one (Ian Ford already masterfully captured that shot). This is a painting of ferocity, focus, and conquest—a jaguar in a glowing pink swamp at dawn, created by my own hands. I hope that when you look at it, you feel not only the joy and repose of nature but also the fierce spirit of the jaguar.
