Shadows of the Oak

Shadows of the Oaks, 16 x 20,  This painting, once finished, immediately reminded me of Little Red Riding Hood. The shadows that play on the forest floors, trunks and branches are entrancing to me, with their intricate patterns. It was challenging and satisfying to capture them on canvas. This view was painted plein air, from a view outside of Studio Cabin, located in Bradfordville, a wooded rural area north of Tallahassee, FL.
