PRP FACIAL TREATMENT

Exclusive to Honolulu MedSpa, the PRP Facial involves a three-step process. First, a very small amount of blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, containing the powerful growth factors, from the red blood cells. Second, a micro-needling device is used to create micro-punctures along the treatment area to better introduce the growth factors and to stimulate new tissue and collagen production. These punctures are similar to ablative laser treatments which are also used to promote new, firm, and healthy skin. Finally, the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is applied to the face to allow the growth factors to penetrate into the skin.
