Study to "Homestead"18" x 18"Pastels A resident of Indiana, Virginia works mainly in soft pastel but also paints in other mediums such as gouache, watercolors and graphite. She mainly paints plein air but also paints wildlife, animals, and architecture. Virginia shows paintings at the Dillsboro Arts Friendship Gallery. She is a lifetime member of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association (IPAPA) in which she has served as president and board member. She also served as President of the Southeastern Indiana Art Guild. Virginia’s passion is painting outdoors in different locations from her Indiana homestead to the Grand Canyon and England.  She has found being a plein air artist lets her see and experience different venues & nature along with the opportunities to meet people wherever she paints.  She holds several awards among different organizations.
