Millis, Mark "Maple Hill Cemetery" Study

Study to "Kings of the Hill" Pastel, 11" x 14" Mark Millis, Bargersville, IN Mark works in both pastels and oil and enjoys painting outdoors, or en plein air. Often, he paints landscapes that include buildings or man-made structures.  Mark loves architecture and the vibe buildings often communicate about a setting, especially old buildings that tell a story. He also loves to paint water and portray how light and shadow appear in the water. Of course, he often paints scenes close to his home in Bargersville, Indiana with Province Park in Franklin providing ample views of creeks, bridges and interesting trees. Mark paints in many plein air events around Indiana, and he loves being outdoors and seeing different settings.
