Saginaw's National Brewing Company is probably best known to Michiganians of a certain age as the National Soda Company. After the one-two punch of Prohibition and the dominance of nationwide mega-brands, beer brewing wasn't enough to keep the brewery afloat so National turned to non-alcoholic drinks and was able to survive into the 1980's.
