Tatted Tree Christmas Ornament

This is a tree ornament that I made with tatting or tatted lace.  Tatting is a "lost art" that I learned from my Granny.  It is time consuming and the finished result may appear delicate, but they are actually quite durable.  This ornament is approximately 2 inches across.  After being tatted with green thread, I add tatted brown thread for the trunk, then trim the tree with seed beads and sequins.  These ornaments would be a wonderful, unique addition to your holiday decor.  They also make a great gift (I've popped many into Christmas cards over the years).
