The door features 1/2" solid steel, which gives this safe a "B" rating for burglar protection. The depository chute is wide enough to accept standard bank bags while preventing fishing. The saw tooth anti-fishing baffle prevents tools or hands from reaching inside the safe and "fishing" envelopes or bank bags back out of the compartment. A standard feature on the SafeandVaultStore HPD2014E is the UL listed digital lock.  Behind the lock is a drill resistant hardplate that is designed to prevent drilling of the lock. Another method of protecting the lock is the spring loaded re-locker which will fire and lock the bolts into place if attacked with a drill. This will make it almost impossible to open the door and a locksmith or safe technician would need to come out to open the safe. When the door is shut, the auto-detent system will automatically extend the boltwork when the door is closed.
