Alabama Black Eye Beans are a heirloom lima saved for generations in Alabama. This variations can be used as a dry bean, green shell bean or as a butterbean. Although, technically a lima bean it is often referred to as a butterbean. Alabama Black Eye Beans require a strong trellis because the vines grow vigorously and tall.
