Blue Bayou Pumpkin

Blue Bayou Pumpkin is a hybrid variety with heirloom appearance and excellent disease-resistance. This pumpkin variety produces large, 15-20 lb pumpkins that are light blue with deep ribbing. Plants produce trailing vines that are very productive, much more than traditional heirloom blue pumpkin varieties. Fruits have a deep orange flesh that is excellent for eating in breads, pies and other baked treats. It also is a great variety for making cold and warm soups. Blue Bayou Pumpkin has a resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, making it a great performer in humid areas where disease pressure is typically higher.
