French Breakfast Radish

French Breakfast Radish is an heirloom, open-pollinated radish variety that was imported from France. This radish variety is slightly milder than most round varieties and has a texture that is firm and crisp. These radishes are elongated and have a red body with a white tip. Radishes average 3 inches long and grow pretty fast. For longer, straighter radishes, plant Seeds thicker along the bed. Due to the mild flavor, French Breakfast Radish is a great variety for dips, salads and snacking. Radishes perform best when direct seeded with a walk-behind planter like our Hoss Garden Seeder. We recommend using a modified #1 plate or #2 plate with holes drilled to the appropriate size for the seed being used. Seed size can vary from one variety to the next, so seed plate hole size should always be calibrated to fit the seed being used.
